The Casa Labia Gallery is a manifestation of Antonia Labia Hardres-Williams’s dream of creating a contemporary gallery space housed within the elegant confines of the house. The gallery is on the top floor of the house and the with breathtaking views out to sea one might be forgiven for shifting focus for the briefest of moments from the artworks on display to False Bay in all its splendor. The interesting and evolving collection of works will always bring your gaze back, however, to the beautifully curated collections on the walls.
The calendar of exhibitions is underpinned by the annual “In Bloom” exhibition presented by Casa Labia in conjunction with Africa Nova, which runs annually from December until February. The remainder of the year sees a variety of exhibitions take to the walls, all guided by the underlying thread of African and authentic.
